DISCOVERING MATERIALS
Program duration: 2 hours
Price: €15 per participant
The program consits in the presentation of the ReMida project and a visit to the various spaces of our premises: the Waste Material Emporium, in which materials are neatly collected, exhibited, and made available for users; and the Atelier, designed to support the search for pleasure of playing, through different areas of investigation: the magic connecting light, matter, and color (Room of Light), the relationship and combination between objects to create new forms and structures (Building Room), and the different expressive and communication languages of materials (Creativity Lab).
The final stage of your visit will consist in a practical laboratory to experiment the playful and educational value of waste materials. By not having a defined structure, the materials favour a wide liberty of action and multiple possibilities for re-use.
DISCOVERING MATERIALS + EXPERIENCE TIPS
Program duration: 5 hours
Price: €40 per participant
After the DISCOVERING MATERIALS program, one of our EXPERIENCE TIPS projects will be presented. These projects have been carried out in EC/Kindergarten classes, with an interaction between children, teachers, and members of ReMida, aimed to:
– spin a web across materials and space, through direct discovery;
– ignite a discussion concerning this new idea of educational programming;
– translate theoretical knowledge as well as the values of the “pedogogy of listening”;
– reflect on the importance of documentation to make cognitive processes visible and provide tools to re-design educational activities.
